The engineering features and simple design make this a very durable cylinder.  All materials used are non corrosive.  Normally the cylinders are supplied with heavy duty Urethane seals to give maximum seal life.  

Medium duty neoprene seals are available for applications requiring minimum friction (Pleasure craft).  However the life expectancy of these neoprene seals is somewhat less.
