The 7171 is a full follow-up rudder control, equipped with a detent in mid-handle position - straight-ahead. The 7171 requires an electronic amplifier to allow for a feedback device to be incorporated to allow the rudder to follow the lever's movement.

The 7171 is available with 2 micro switches, 1 per side, 2 potentiometers and 2 trim pots, is constructed of bronze and stainless steel to last in harsh marine environments and is water tight. The Ohms rating for the potentiometer must be specified when ordering.
